If you live within a 20 mile radius of Yeovil, Somerset, Muzzy now offers an install and maintenance service for Marine Fish/Reef Tanks in your office, workplace or home.

It has been scientifically proven that watching fish has a calming effect on the human body. As we all know offices, hospitals, Doctors surgeries, in fact any work place can be stressful. So why not take some of that stress out of your visitors and give them something incredible to watch, talk about and admire.

Why marines?

Many of us know that keeping Marine fish and especially corals, is pretty difficult, unless you have the time to learn all about the different requirements for these delicate sea creatures most reef tanks are doomed to failure from the start.

Imagine if you could have a stunning reef tank, but don't have to worry about looking after it, doing water tests, water changes, adding the correct ratio of additives and foods...

Well with Muzzy's design, install and maintenance service you don't have to know a thing about reef tanks! Muzzy will look after it all from the initial planning stages, tank set up, filtration design and install, lighting, fish and invert stocking, water changes, tests and corrections, cleaning and even feeding if required!
All you need to do is pull up a chair and enjoy it :o)

So, what's it going to cost?

How long is a piece of string?
Every tank will be different dependant on the clients requirements. Therefore every price will be different according to what you want.

Example: £3000 (approx)

48" x 24" x 24" Reef Tank, live rock filtration, protein skimmer, metal halide lighting, phosphate reactor, 3 foot sump tank with deep sand bed, heater, pumps etc 
Standard Cabinet in colour of your choice

Stocking: Clients can choose their own fish or Muzzy can do this for you, if you decide to choose your own Muzzy would need to go through it with you to ensure there will be no problems with fish and/or invert incompatibility.
It is impossible to quote a figure for fish and corals as it really will depend on what you want to keep.
As a rough guide, most suitable marine fish range from £20 to £60 each and corals a similar price bracket.
Snails, hermit crabs and shrimps, which are all required as tank cleaners will be required and these are generally between £3 and £10 each.

Muzzy will guarantee to make no profits on livestock and hardware prices, the exact cost paid will be the exact price charged by the suppliers used.

You will only be paying for the installation and ongoing maintenance (if required)

Set up costs are £100 per 8 hour day. A typical reef tank set up will take 2 days.
Ongoing maintenance costs are charged at £10 per hour.
The minimum you would need to keep a happy healthy reef tank running is 2 hours work per week. Most of this time would be spent on glass cleaning, water tests, water changes if necessary and any other odd jobs like coral placements, filter cleaning and media changing.
